Keys and Conference Cards

Guests will receive a room card. The room card gives access to the apartment building and laundry facilities. The fee for a lost room key is $170.00, a lost guest card is $20.00, and room lockouts are $20.00 per instance.

Laundry

The residence facility is equipped with laundry rooms.  Laundry detergent is not available.  Laundry payment is easy with the PayRange App.  Download the app, add funds and then swipe payment to activate a washer or dryer.  If you prefer, you can still choose to pay with coins.  

Cable Television

Guest units in Anthony Wayne Drive and University Tower Apartments come with a television.  Guest suites in Chatsworth do not include a television.

Internet Access

WSU-Public is a Wi-Fi network designed for Wayne State guests and visitors and is available across campus.  To connect to WSU-Public:  1.  In the wireless internet options of your computer or mobile device, select SSID (network name) WSU-Public.  2.  Launch a web browser.  The WSU-Public login should appear automatically.  If not, enter a URL, to see the WSU-Public login page.  3.  Review the terms of use and click login.  Click take me to the internet and you are connected.  Note:  The network is available to the public, but use is subject to certain restrictions. Wireless internet access is available throughout the building at no additional charge.

Eduroam is a global wireless network access service that allows members of participating institutions to connect securely to wireless networks at universities, research labs, libraries and schools worldwide.  Check with your home institution to see if Eduroam is an option.

Workout Facilities

A small fitness center is located in University Tower and is available for use by those who are renting a guest unit in that building. There is also a campus recreation and fitness center that is available to guests for a fee.
