Intern Housing

Midtown Detroit is a great place to live, work and play. WSU welcomes interns who wish to reside on the campus of Wayne State University during their internship. We offer, safe, convenient and affordable housing for interns who are employed in Detroit and the surrounding areas. Intern housing is available May 14 to Aug. 6, 2022.

Interns are required to contract for a minimum of 30 consecutive nights. All requests are on a first come first served basis. Enrollment at Wayne State University is not a requirement for intern housing. Apartments are assigned only after full payment for the contracted dates has been received. Rate information is available directly in the application when choosing a room type.

Vaccine + Booster Mandate
To best protect the health and safety of the campus community, WSU requires all interns who plan to live on campus to receive their COVID-19 vaccination + booster. Vaccine exemptions are not an option for interns who apply for campus housing. You will receive an email with instructions on how to upload your vaccine documentation once the application has been submitted and you have been assigned a WSU ID number.

All three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines administered in the United States are accepted under the vaccine mandate. Vaccines administered outside of the United States — including the AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Cinovac or COVISHield vaccines — are also accepted under the vaccine mandate.
